So - you think that someone you know may have a problem with drugs or alcohol? Unfortunately, many of us do, because anyone can develop a problem with drugs or alcohol. You may be concerned about your child, your spouse, your partner, your parent(s), your brother or sister, a friend or a work colleague.
Maybe you've come here to find out what you can do to help. Well - that's great. We will give you some idea of the best way to help them . . . BUT - we'll also be talking about how you can help yourself.
Puzzled? - Perhaps you're not aware that drug abuse is just as destructive for family and friends as it is for the drug user - if not more so. We'll go into this later.
If you're not sure whether your relative or friend has a drug problem (loss of control of his or her drug/alcohol use) - as opposed to using drugs occasionally, check out this first.
